FOR POETS AND ARTISTS
P.I.N.s is a fundraising initiative to assist poets and artists in need of financial assistance to support them in building an artistic career and growing their craft. P.I.N.s aims to alleviate financial hardships so that artists may find more ease in mastering and pursuing their artistry. Whether it be for professional endeavors or development – financial support while working on a new project, wanting to pay for training/development in art field, class fees, personal life – the P.I.N.s initiative fund is our way of providing support and pouring into artists the many ways they have poured into their communities.
Please support us in reaching our goal by donating to the fund and pledging to support artists in creating equity within their artistic careers and building communities where art can thrive, heal, and unite. If you’re a poet or artist in need of financial support you may apply to receive a reward from this fund.

Artists are selected through a rigorous application process, graded on a rubric scale, ensuring that each participant brings a unique and valuable contribution to the conversation.

Poetry Unplugged Jr. is dedicated to nurturing the creative potential of teenagers by providing a supportive environment where they can express themselves freely through journaling, spoken word, and other forms of artistic expression. We recognize the importance of creative expression in promoting social-emotional growth and providing coping mechanisms for teens facing various challenges. Our mission is to create a non-judgmental space where teens can explore their identities, emotions, and experiences while receiving guidance, mentorship, and support in their artistic endeavors.
Vision Statement:
Our vision is to empower teenagers in Northeast Ohio and surrounding areas to embrace their creativity and use it as a tool for self-discovery and personal growth. Through partnerships with organizations like the Sparrows Fortune Organization and their Project R.O.O.T programming, we aim to expand our reach and provide writing workshops to local districts, schools, and youth-facing organizations. By offering creative outlets and opportunities for expression, Poetry Unplugged Jr. seeks to foster a culture where teens feel valued, supported, and encouraged to share their talents with the world.
Teenagers today face a myriad of challenges, from academic pressure to social media influences to mental health struggles. Creative expression, particularly through journaling and spoken word, has been shown to be an effective coping mechanism for managing stress, processing emotions, and building resilience.
